The following pages hold a variety of video tutorials relating to a number of Open Source applications running in Windows. The applications discussed are all completely free and all have Linux versions also available.

Click here to view a tutorial about using the BAKU application. BAKU is an excellent application for maintaining your computer, by removing unneeded files and cleaning your registry. We would recommend using BAKU to anyone and most users find that running BAKU results in an immediate performance improvement for their computer.

Click here to view a series of tutorials about the OpenOffice suite. We strongly support the Openoffice suite and would recommend that you download it and give it a try. The tutorials are mainly set at a basic/intermediate level and are suitable for anyone to use, even absolute beginners.

Click here to view a series of tutorials about installing and using the Firefox web browser. The firefox browser is an alternative to Internet Explorer and has many advantages, such as enhanced security and a huge range of add-ons which massively increase it's usefulness.

Click here to view a series of tutorials about installing and using the Lightning add-on for Thunderbird. The basic Thunderbird install is similar to Microsoft Outlook Express in that it has no task management or calendar functions. The lightning add-on is easily installed into Thunderbird, giving it those functions. With the Lightning add-on installed Thunderbird is equivalent to Microsoft outlook.


All of the tutorials were produced using the open source screen capture application Cam Studio. If you are using an add-on such as Noscript or other script blocker you may need to allow the domain to have the videos play properly in your browser.
